Harley Jensen, the founding principal of our firm, owned this cottage at The Sea Ranch with his wife for several years before deciding to add a new living-dining room and master bedroom suite. New decks were added, one sheltered from the prevailing winds by the new living room addition, the other, off the new master bedroom, screened from the neighbors by a free-standing wall. The master bedroom faces the ocean view while the new master bath on the street side of the house uses a skylight and a small window for its natural light. The entire remainder of the existing house was remodeled and updated.
