This building is a new facility serving the Concord and Diablo areas of Contra Costa County. The architects were responsible for the design of the building and the interiors including furniture and artwork. The neighborhood is essentially residential in scale and is located on the fringes of an expanding central business district. The relatively large building was integrated into the neighborhood by expressing it as a grouping of small buildings rather than one large one. The use of stucco and bright colors relieve the monotone character of the neighboring commercial buildings and accent the community character of the Credit Union.
