This is a development of a row of
shops linking a newly-built supermarket to the main shopping
street of the town of Danville. It was necessary to create
an interesting and lively shopping experience for pedestrians
who would walk on Church Street between the new Andronico's
supermarket and other shops on Hartz Avenue. The Church Street
Plaza shops were to have a strong visual identity and include
service access and parking from a mid-block service drive.
Special attention was given to the design of the corner elements
to strengthen the visual links between the new project and
the existing urban fabric.
