The owners' existing bungalow was a 1940's "starter-home" on a spectacular bluff over- looking the city of Walnut Creek. The house had deteriorated to the point that only the foundations were re-used. The new design incorporates a formal living room and dining room facing the major view and a large family room facing the wooded glade in the back yard. The house is designed in an updated Prairie style with a strong presence to the street and the panoramic view which it overlooks.
